(BLOOMINGTON) - There’s been another sighting of the elusive black panther near Bloomington.
A delivery driver for the Bloomington Herald-Times newspaper says he was delivering papers around 5:30AM and stopped his car about 15 feet from the large black cat.
Wayne Shepherd says the cat had the greenest eyes he's ever seen, but says he didn't report the sighting to the Department of Natural Resources for fear he'd be ridiculed.
It's the second reported sighting of a panther east of the city in the last two weeks. State officials have not confirmed the cat's existence.
