(BEDFORD) - Grass seeding at the Otis Park Golf Course on the last nine holes continues to proceed well.

Testing of the area will be conducted next week. Officials said during the Bedford Park Board meeting last night that they believe the "back nine" will be open for the public sometime in July. Meanwhile, the first nine holes are up and running for golf enthusiasts.

Park director Dave Edwards reported to the park board that vandals knocked down a light pole and shot out windows at the John Lowery Pool on 16th Street. He said police are investigating the situation.

Recreation Director Debbie Reuter said the Bedford baseball Eagles team went undefeated during their season and will be going to the nationals in St. Louis in August. The next scheduled tourney, the Josh Terry Memorial Tourney, will be held on June 24th and 25th. The fee will be $175.00, a reduction from $200.00.
