Weekend Begins Orleans Dogwood Festival

(ORLEANS) - The 2006 Orleans Dogwood Festival began Saturday with many activities including the Dogwood Patrons Breakfast and Big Daddy 5-on-5 Football.
The Baby Contest was held as well and the overall winner was 8-month-old Laykin Lewellyn from Paoli. Laykin's parents are Chris and Amy Lewellyn.
Orleans High School sophomore Candace Cook became the 38th annual Dogwood Festival Queen in Saturday night's festivities. Also winning in the Tiny Miss Dogwood Festival was Hally Guess, daughter of Lisa Guess and Tevin Fish. Hally was also chosen as Miss Photogenic.
Highlights of tonight's activities include the Orleans School Choir in the Bandstand at 6:00pm and the Orleans high school Pep Band at 7:00pm at the Veterans Way area.
