Students Learn Of Area Careers

Last updated on Wednesday, May 10, 2006

(BEDFORD) - Yesterday was Career Awareness Day at Bedford Middle School and was sponsored by the Hoosier Hills Trails Council of the Boys Scouts of America.

Individuals from different occupations came and described to the students their careers.

Sales representative Mary Ann Lapenta and News Director Jim Ingalls came to show Mr. Deckard's seventh grade class what it was like to work at the radio station.

Students were shown how editing works in a production studio. A recorder was passed around the room and each student stated their name. The edited version was played on the air.
