State Police Investigate Orange County Shooting

(ORLEANS) - A shooting near Orleans sent a 22-year-old to University of Louisville hospital last night.

Indiana State Police investigated the incident and report that 22-year-old Hollie Humphreys, of Orleans, was shot by Larry Brent after Humphreys intentionally set fire to Brent's home.

The Orange County Rural District II Volunteer Fire Department was called to put out the fire. Fire fighters were able to put out the blaze quickly.

According to an Orange County dispatcher, the two were arguing about a family matter.

Humphreys was taken to the hospital by Air Evac helicopter. Orange County EMS and the Orange County Sheriff's Department helped with incident. Police continue to investigate.
