(SPRINGVILLE) - More details of the wreck on State Road 54 near Springville has become available.

The Perry Township Volunteer Fire/EMS Department responded to a traffic accident on State Road 54 just east of Springville Tuesday morning when 89-year-old Chester Anderson, of Springville, lost control of his vehicle.

Anderson said his 1991 Sonoma went off the right side of the road, went over an embankment, traveled alongside the roadway, came back onto the road, and made a sharp turn causing the truck to roll over onto its side. It slid several more feet before coming to rest.

According to Perry Township Assistant Fire Chief Bill Raines, Anderson became trapped and had to be extricated from his vehicle. The extrication took less than ten minutes.

Anderson was transported to Dunn Memorial Hospital after he complained of dizziness.
