(MITCHELL) - Employees of Pamida department store in Mitchell are beginning to mark down prices as the company plans to close its doors soon.
The Omaha, Nebraska-based chain held a meeting with the 12 local employees recently telling them the store would liquidate the inventory in the next two to three months.
A liquidation company will help the Teke Burton Drive establishment sell the merchandise.
Pamida began in the 1970s using the owner's boy's names of Paul, Mike and David. There are currently 216 stores nationwide.
