(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Habitat For Humanity held their first application for housing meeting Tuesday night at the Lawrence County History Museum.

About 20 people showed up interested in moving into the Riley Boulevard duplex, donated by Bedford's General Motors Powertrain.

Applications were handed out for those to fill out and return at the second meeting to be held next Tuesday at the organization's county office at the former Public Service Indiana electric company building, 919 14th street. It will begin at 5:00pm.

Family Selection Chairman Joana Jones says a lot of volunteers are ready to help the local group. If you missed the first meeting you can apply at the second meeting. For more information call the First Christian Church at 275-4497.
