Lawrence County Commissioners Meet

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Commissioners met Tuesday morning and talked with several individuals on a variety of issues.
Some of the highlights included the signing of the new extrication services agreement. The agreement allows the county to use equipment the city owns to remove trapped drivers and passengers from wrecked vehicles. The new agreement renews the contract automatically after five years until the county requests in writing to stop it. The city had originally requested a 10-year extension.
In other business, the council included an appropriation of funds from the highway wheel and surtax fund of over $530,000.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, at 9:30am at the County Courthouse.
