Bedford Residents Up In Arms Over New Business
(BEDFORD) - The Bedford City Plan Commission held their monthly meeting Monday night.
Robert and Debra Jurashen where there asking once again for the board to rezone their 4th and Lincoln Avenue building. It is now registered as a residence; they want it listed as a business. They are planning to start a beauty shop or offer office space.
However, several residents who live nearby are not in agreement with the Jurashen's plans. They are upset with losing their parking spaces once the business starts up. One local resident has gone as far as to file a lawsuit to settle the problem. The board tabled the issue until the lawsuit is resolved.
Flinn Farms' Bedford Feed and Seed just south of the Bedford Square on 17th Street is expanding their building and adding a 65 foot grain elevator. They asked the Bedford City Planning Commission at last night's meeting for permission of the additional construction. The motion was granted.
