(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Park Board met at the Thornton Park office last night.
The John Lowery Pool concession fees were finalized with daily admission for children set at $2.50 each, adults $3.00 and a pass for the slide set at $1.50. Swimming and diving lessons will be held at the pool, as will Adult Aquacise and Adult Lap Swimming.
Park director Dave Edwards highlighted several of the activities going on at the Thornton Memorial Park including filling the John Lowery Pool, set to open on Memorial Day weekend, plus sanding and coating the slide with a marine wax. He mentioned to the board how thankful he was for the donations of tables to the Otis Park Bath House.
Otis Park Golf Course Superintendent Steve Terry told the board he wants to offer golfers an opportunity to golf later in the day at a reduced price. He says golfers will be able to golf all the holes they want after 6pm for three hours at $17.00. A special $20.00 fee will give golfers a cart to use after 3pm. Terry will give this a one month trial. Terry also announced a summer camp that will be held this summer. Details will be forthcoming.
Recreation Director Debbie Reuter reported that the 20th annual All-Nighter Baseball Tourney is set for June 20th. Deadline for sign-up is May 30th. So far 22 men's teams have signed up. There will be limit of 45.
