Accident Near Bedford Causes Traffic Backup

(BEDFORD) - Slick roads are being blamed for an accident this morning on Dead Man’s Curve, on State Road 158 east and Doe Run Road.
Lawrence County police say 21-year-old Lauren. N. Gardner, of Bloomington, was traveling around the curve when the car began to skid.
Her auto struck a guardrail, traveled to the other side of the road and struck the concrete bridge.
Gardner suffered minor bleeding in the crash. Her passenger, Brett Meyers, of Bedford, was not injured.
Dunn Ambulance Service was called to the scene as was the Indiana Creek Volunteer and Bedford Fire Departments.
The car received between $2,500 and $5,000 in damage.
