(BEDFORD) - Work continues in Bedford on upgrading the traffic signals at the 21 intersections within the city.
Michiana Contracting, Inc. Vice-president Michael Delp says the Indiana Department of Transportation is paying to upgrade the units.
He says new cables and control boxes will be installed. Also a new radio system will replace the fiber optics already installed in the downtown area to better control traffic flow through the square.
Michiana Contrating has until August 15th to complete the $600,000 upgrade which began about a week ago.
