(BLOOMINGTON) - A small plane crashed last night just south of the Bloomington airport with five people on board.
Indiana State Police say there was dense fog overnight hindering rescue efforts. They say the wreckage was located about 4:30 this morning in a wooded area.
There's no word yet on the conditions of the occupants.
Homeowners near where the plane went down called 911 last night after hearing what sounded like a plane in distress.
The pilot activated the lights at the airport but the plane did not land.
