City To Finish Flushing

Last updated on Friday, April 28, 2006

(BEDFORD) - The city of Bedford continues to flush hydrants in town to clear the lines of dirt and grime.

Today workers will be flushing on 8th and "O" west to "X", north to 2nd and "S", Heltonville Road, Mt. Pleasant and Boyd Lane. On Sunday they will be flushing on 16th and "P" east, 17th south to 30th, west to "M" street, Eastlake Dr., Crawford Addition, Brook Knoll, and Saddle Barn Addition.

Officials say the flushings could cause the water to become muddy or rusty and can be harmful to laundry with staining. They say to simply let the water run until it becomes clear. The flushings will last until Sunday. If the weather turns bad the flushings will be canceled. If you have any questions, contact the Bedford City Utilities.
