City Pool Rates Increase

(BEDFORD) - The John Lowery Pool rates for the summer season were officially set in last nights Bedford park board meeting.

Rates were increased about 25% from last year's prices. A single session ticket will cost $2.50 for a child and $3.00 for an adult. The slide will cost an additional $1.50. Season passes are $20.00 for Bedford children and $30.00 for Bedford adults. Those out of town will pay $25.00 and $35.00 respectively.

This was the first time in nearly 10 years the rates were increased. Officials are hoping to raise enough funds to replace the slide that has been a part of the pool for 22 years. At one time the slide was the largest in the state and was used to promote the unit in the company's catalog.
