Bloomington Woman Charged With Child Neglect

(BLOOMINGTON) - An employee for the city of Bloomington has been arrested for allegedly beating her eight-year old son with an electrical cord.
Twenty-eight-year-old Aiesha Growe is charged with felony battery and neglect.
Authorities say an investigation began after a school nurse noticed extensive injuries on the child's back and legs.
Child Protective Services assumed custody of the boy and two siblings.
Growe works for the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department.
