Anonymous Caller Helps With Jill Behrman Case

Last updated on Monday, April 17, 2006

(BLOOMINGTON) - An anonymous caller to investigators in the disappearance and murder of Jill Behrman has called back.

Indiana state police first sergeant Dave Bursten says that's thanks to pleas in the media by state police detective Rick Lang. Lang needed to clarify information from the caller about a red car seen in the area of North Maple Grove Road and West Maple Grove Road back on May 31, 2000, the day Jill was reported missing.

Bursten says Lang was able to obtain more information. Meanwhile, because of many requests for unsealing documents pertaining to the cause of death of Jill Behrman, a judge has set a July hearing to determine if those records will remain sealed. Bursten says the investigation remains active even though a murder suspect, John Myers, has been charged.
