Police Chase Four For 50 Miles

(SEYMOUR) - A chase that began in Louisville ended in Seymour.

Indiana State Police picked up a chase that Louisville Metro Police began.

The runaway van headed north on Interstate 65 achieved speeds in excess of 100 mph. Troopers ahead of the chase laid stop sticks in several spots throughout the chase finally slowing the vehicle down near Seymour. The driver tried to turn onto Highway 50 and crashed into an Indiana State Police car.

The driver, along with three other passengers tried to flee the scene. They were all captured and charged with resisting law enforcement and possession of stolen property. The driver was additionally charged with criminal recklessness with a vehicle and battery on a police officer. The two women and two men were from Louisville. The investigation is continuing.
