(BEDFORD) - A group of about 65 Lawrence County youths and adults are heading to Montecello, Mississippi to help with the hurricane ravaged area.

The Lawrence County Youth Network will be heading down this Friday in two buses, a van and two vehicles pulling trailers.

Bedford Free Methodist Church Youth Leader Scott Salm says the group consists of four other churchs including Englewood Baptist Church, Mitchell Tulip Street Chrsitian Church, Mitchell First Church of God and Youth For Christ.

The group will be staying at the Montecello Baptist Church located in Lawrence County Mississippi, 150 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. They will return to Bedford on Friday, March 31st. Scott Salm says they want to "go down and make a difference" for the community by helping out with the many jobs needed to help get the community back to normal.
