Explosion Rocks Bedford

BEDFORD—A large explosion heard across Bedford just after 9:00 a.m. Friday sent the Bedford Police and Lawrence County Police to investigate.
It was learned that the Bedford Recycling plant, just east of town, was crushing a propane tank filled with gas when the flare-up occurred.
A plumb of smoke was seen for miles. No one was reportedly hurt in the incident.
