Case Begins Against Accused Paoli Murderer

Last updated on Thursday, March 30, 2006

(PAOLI) - The case against an Orange County man accused of murder with an assault rifle has begun in Paoli.

Orange County Prosecutor Kelly Minton says David Frentz used the heavy weapon to kill Zachary Reynolds in January of last year.

Frentz reportedly called police the morning of the shooting and said three Latino men had broken into the home where he and Reynolds were staying. Frentz says there was a struggle over the gun before Reynolds was shot.

Polcie say Frentz made the whole story up as a cover to murder his roommate.
