SHOALS—A Shoals man was arrested for possession of drugs and a firearm after police stopped him for a window tint violation.
State Polcie Sgt. Kirby Stailey stopped 41-year-old Kevin Kidwell in Shoals and due to Kidwell's unusual behavior and circumstances requested for K-9 Savannah to search for narcotics.
The dog did smell drugs and a search of the vehicle revealed crystal meth, cocaine, marijuana of less than 30 grams and drug paraphernalia. A SKS assault rifle and several rounds of ammunition was found in the trunk of the auto.
