BLOOMINGTON—A Bloomington man is in police custody after he allegedly held his wife at bay with a shotgun.
Forty-five-year-old Gary Daniels faces charges of criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, intimidation and criminal recklessness with a firearm.
Police surrounded Daniels' home, after receiving a call his wife had been shot. In reality, Daniels' wife says she was thrown to the ground and suffered a broken wrist and right arm.
The 12-year-old boy who made the initial call to police was able to get the shotgun from Daniels and possibly prevent any further injuries.
