MITCHELL—An update on a story we had earlier this week. A young teenage girl was invovled in an accident near Mitchell when deer ran out in front of her vehicle.
She was injured in the accident and taken to the hospital to treat her injuries.
She originally told police that she was the only occupant in the car, but further investigation proved she had three other passengers in the vehicle.
They too were injured in the accident with one suffering a broken neck. The three were quickly taken by private vehicle to the hospital.
The girl later confessed to authorities that she lied because she was afraid of getting in trouble since she only had a probationary license which prohibits certain passengers.
