MITCHELL—Approximately 150 people attended a meeting in Mitchell Sunday afternoon that was organized by Indiana State Rep. Jerry Denbo of French Lick.

The meeting at the Mitchell Community Building was for employees of the Dana Corporation who are in jeopardy of losing their jobs in a planned closure of the Mitchell plant.

Denbo, along with Mitchell Mayor "Butch" Chastian, State Rep. Eric Koch were in attendance, along with Steve Adams of the Indiana office of Rural Affairs.

Mayor Chastain said that the meeting was an informational gathering to see what the Dana employees wanted the elected representatives to do for them.

The session lasted approximately 90 mintues. All avenues to save the jobs at the Mitchell plant will be explored. The Mitchell plants hired over 300 people.
