LAWRENCE COUNTY—A statewide safety belt enforcement campaign will run from February 5 to February 19 and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department will be part of the program.
The campaign is planned to increase awareness of Indiana's child safety requirements and encourage Hoosiers to buckle up, every trip, every time.
Those who violate the new child safety belt law will be fined $25.
This campaign is sponsored by the Governor's Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving, a division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
