Bedford Man Arrested On One Of The Largest Drug Bust For Lawrence County

BEDFORD—State Polcie arrested a Bedford man on drug charges after spotting two high-powered assault rifles.

Trooper Greg Day was participating in Operation Pull-Over when he pulled over 28-year-old Gary S. Moore at 5th and "N" Streets in Bedford on a seatbelt violation. Day discovered the two rifles in plain view in Moore's vehicle plaus between 60 to 70 grams of crystal meth and other drug paraphernalia.

Moore was promptly arrested on numerous drug and driving charges.

Police believe this was the largest quantity of methamphetamine ever seized at one time in Lawrence County. The estimated street value of the drugs is near $10,000.
