MITCHELL—An Orleans teenager should consider herself lucky following an accident near the Lawrence/Orange County line.
Nineteen-year-old Marrissa A. Guthrie was traveling northbound on Highway 37 when her driver's side tire blew.
Her vehicle went off the right side of the road, across Dillon Road and struck an embankment. Her vehicle then went airborne for about 30 feet before nosediving into another embankment. Her vehicle continued into a field for about another 60 feet before coming to a stop.
Guthrie did not receive any serious injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt and her airbag deployed during the accident.
