INDIANAPOLIS—The Bedford Rotary Club contributes generously to Riley Children’s Hospital.

Their dollars help bring critically ill children from around the United States and other countries to Indianapolis for life-saving surgeries and treatment.

Right now, Riley is helping to train Afghanistan's only cardiologist. The Afghan doctor's father sold his land to buy his son's plane ticket.

Dr. Sayed Alam Saand is undergoing a month-long customized training program at Riley that will allow him to assist medical personnel in his country. Dr. Saand raves about the help he and his country have received from Hoosiers. Heart-warming news of this nature rarely makes the national networks.
