LAWRENCE COUNTY—There are a few people that have the opinion Bedford’s Police Officers spend most of their time writing tickets for speeding.
Far from the truth! Bedford's detectives and our Lawrence County officers have made a good number of arrests this week. Crystal Brooks age 27 of 401 Victorian drive was arrested for allegedly dealing Klonopin, a Schedule IV controlled substance. Another woman, Sharon Morris, age 29 of 108 Mason Street allegedly offiered to sell an informant the same drug. Money was exchanged and the informant received ten tablets of Klonopin.
Lawrence County Police are continuing to investigate an attempted arson at a home in the Avoca area. An officer checked the home and found two distinct burn marks on a back door. The residents of the home requested the incident only be logged, but police plan to continue work on the serious case.
