The family of a Lawrence County nursing home patient is suing over his death in January 2004.
Seventy-four-year-old Orland Jean's body was found in his wheelchair outside of Hospitality House, with the cause of death ruled as environmental hypothermia.
His family's lawsuit claims employees changed his clothes and put him back in bed and then failed to notify doctors that Jean's body was found outside and not in his bed.
The State Health Department fined Hospitality House more than $13,000 after the incident.
The lawsuit names Hospitality House and its owner, Bloomington Hospital.
