Vehicle slides 80 feet

BEDFORD—A man had a bit of a scare Sunday when his vehicle he was driving slid on the icy roads.
20-year-old Nathan M. Kristen was stopped at 6th and "N" Streets. When he began to accelerate, his vehicle went sideways sliding about 80 feet before hitting a utility pole.
A bit unusual was that the slide was on an uphill grade.
Kristen was not injured in the accident. The passenger side door, however, sustained some minor damage.
