Laurie Miller, BNL grad, stationed in Iraq says winter is finally coming: that means weeks of rain. They’ve put rubber mats on the floors of their trucks for the turret gunners so they won’t lose their footing as they bounce around on rough roads.

Laurie explains that Arabs have three names: the first name is unique to that person. Their second name is the name of their father. The third name is their grandfather. Some have religious nicknames such as Hajii which means that person has made the Haj, or pilgrimage, to Mecca. A lot of men use Abu which means "father of". Learning names over there is difficult. Mohammed can be spelled about 6 ways.
