Firefighters prevented from fighting fire
BLOOMINGTON—A Bloomington man has been arrested after he allegedly tried to stoke a fire burning inside his apartment, even after firefighters came to extinguish it.
48-year old Richard Molette faces an arson charge in the case.
Authorities say Mollette would not open the door when firefighters noticed the blaze in his living room.
Firemen knocked down Mollette's door, only to watch the man throw a number of items on the fire to keep it buring.
No other apartments were damaged in the incident.
