Accident witnessed by police

BEDFORD—A serious accident occurred at Lincoln Avenue and State Road 58 in front of the Bedford Fire Station.
According to Bedford Police Officer Brandon Woodward, who was witness to the accident, says 52-year-old Gary Staggs, of Oolitic, was stopped at the stoplight when 17-year-old Jessica E. Ryan, of Bedford, was approaching Staggs' vehicle from behind.
She was unable to stop her vehicle before it hit the back of Staggs vehicle due to the snow, ice, slush, and water on the road.
Both Ryan and her passenger, 20-year-old Lauren. C. Madding, also of Bedford, complained of neck pain following the wreck. Ryan was cited for speed too fast fro road conditions.
