Monroe County man allegedly fires shotgun at semi truck

BLOOMINGTON—A Monroe County man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly fired a shotgun at a semi truck.
Police say 44-year-old Dean Monyhan leaned out the passenger side of his wife's car as the two followed the truck and squeezed off one round. When authorities caught up with the couple, they found Monyhan's wife Cheri intoxicated and with marijuana in her possession.
Dean Monyhan initially told police he knew nothing of the shooting. When police showed him the spent shotgun shell, he admitted he'd shot the semi trailer once.
