Hunters absent for hunting at state park

The environmentalists and the Department of the Interior have plenty of problems on their hands since re-introducing numerous species of animals into our national and state forests. Grizzly bears have been protected by the Endangered Species Act, but have become so numerous around Yellowstone National Park that plans are taking shape to allow limitee grizzly bear hunting.

Tuesday, the weather in Indiana was so threatening, many hunters did not bother to show up to hunt deer at Spring Mill State Park. That herd definitely needs thinning. The final scheduled hunt later this month will necessitate that the skilled marksmen take their quota.
