Hearing held for legalization of video poker machines

Last updated on Thursday, November 24, 2005

INDIANAPOLIS—The Indiana Licensed Beverage Association is holding hearings aimed at the legalization of video poker machines.

Association reps say the machines are already in Indiana establishments, but add that those with liquor licenses are being unfairly cracked down on.

Additionally, Executive Director Brad Klopfenstein says taxing the legal use of the machines could mean $200,000 a year for the state.
