Fire leaves dozen homeless

FRENCH LICK—A fire damaged eight apartments and left twelve people homeless in French Lick Thanksgiving morning.
Twenty-five firefighters from three departments battled the blaze at the Edgewood Terrace Apartments for over three hours. Gusty winds hampered firefighters, but they were able to keep the flames from spreading to other buildings.
There were no injuries and those displaced by the fire were taken in by friends and family.
The State Fire Marshall's Office has been called to help with the investigation.
