MITCHELL—Spring Mill State Park is closed today for the second scheduled deer reduction hunt of this season. The park will re-open tomorrow morning for visitors.
Speaking of deer hunters, it may be than an Orange County record was set by 46-year old Michael Allen of West Baden Springs. When he entered the woods he hoped, like every hunter, he just might bag a big prize. Michael Allen dropped a 24-point, 205-pound buck, without a doubt an Orange county winner.
Right now a taxidermist is working to mount the head. 24-points! Talk about impressive!!
