BLOOMINGTON—In the past when Indiana University encountered the need for a public health alert, by following preventative measures, a secondary case has never occurred.
Hopefully that will prove the case again.
An 18-year old freshman from Terre Haute was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Students living in Briscoe Quadrangle on campus who may have recently come in contact with her will be given preventative medicines.
