(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are looking for a male and female that allegedly attempted to pick up a 2-year-old child while she was playing outside with her siblings on Monday night.

According to Bloomington Police Department Lt. John Kovach, the mother says her three children were playing outside their apartment on West Allen Street when the oldest child, who is 10, said a white man and white woman they did not know approached them while they were playing.

The girl says the woman held out her arms to the toddler and told her to "come here."

The 10-year-old yelled at the woman to put the girl down and she did. Then the man and woman walked away.

Bloomington police responded but were unable to locate the two adults.

The man was described as wearing a black hat, gray shirt, and gray sweatpants. The woman had blond curly hair and was wearing a pink shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomington Police at 812-339-4477.
