According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers saw 24-year-old Tramoun Cowan driving and knew he was wanted on an active warrant.

Bedford Police officers stopped Cowan's vehicle at 16th Street and Plaza Drive.

During the traffic stop officers learned that Cowan was an unlicensed driver.

"While doing a vehicle inventory officers located a plastic bag that contained crystal like residue which later tested positive for methamphetamine," Chief Moore added. "Officers transported Cowan to Bedford Police Department for processing then to Lawrence County Jail. While at jail, Cowan told officers he had marijuana hide on his person. The bag was retrieved and later tested positive for marijuana."

Cowan is facing charges of dealing and possession of meth, theft, possession of marijuana, trafficking with an inmate, and being an unlicensed driver.
