Washington County Clerk Arrested on Drug Charges

(SALEM) - Washington County Clerk 28-year-old Sarah Milligan, of Fredericksburg, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Friday evening on charges of operating a vehicle with a controlled substance and two counts of possession of controlled substance.

According to Indiana State Police Milligan was initially pulled over by Trooper Justin Smith for speeding and improper display of her license plate. Based on her behavior during the stop, Smith initiated a sobriety test and was taken to St. Vincent Salem Hospital for a blood test. As a result, Smith was arrest on drug charges. Trooper Huls said Milligan had a generic form of Adderall and a generic form of Suboxone in her vehicle.

She was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center and is being held on a $4,300 bond.
