Last updated on Wednesday, December 26, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - The 2019 Bloomington Trashion/Refashion Show is seeking design entries for its 10th annual show on April 7th, 2019 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

Designers can submit up to a total of three designs in the Trashion or Refashion category. Designs need to consist of at least 90 percent refashioned or discarded materials. Trashion designs are produced using waste materials other than fabric. Past years' shows included outfits constructed from yoga balls, lanyards, videotape, mussel shells, and dog toys. Refashion designs give new life to unworn or discarded garments and household textiles - including t-shirts, down vests, leg warmers, graduation gowns, tablecloths, duvet covers, and a Christmas tree skirt.
