UPDATED - Three Teens Killed In Farmersburg Accident

Last updated on Saturday, December 29, 2018

(FARMERSBURG) - Three teenagers were killed in a single-car crash in Farmersburg.

Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom says the crash occurred just before 2 p.m. Friday on County Road 1100 North, near County Road 550 East after the driver 16-year-old Thomas K. Jaroscak of Farmersburg apparently lost control of the car, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Jaroscak and his two passengers 16-year-old Kegan T. Ennen and 15-year-old Tyson A. Boyll, also of Farmersburg, were killed instantly.

Sheriff Cottom says alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash but the investigation is not over.

All three were students at North Central High School in Farmersburg. The crash occurred east of the school.

The school's principal, Monte Kirk, released the following statement to WTHI, expressing his condolences:

"On behalf of the Northeast School Corporation and North Central High School, I want to extend our sincerest sympathies to all of the families and friends of the students involved a terrible accident that has taken place this afternoon."

Kirk says a vigil was held on Friday night at the high school.
