(OOLITIC) - The Oolitic Town Council voted to approve water rate increases on Thursday.
Customers will see a 25 percent increase effective immediately, and an additional 17 percent increase in 2020.
According to officials, the council voted 3-1 vote to improve the increases. Council member Glenn Gross opposed the increase. Council member John Spears was not in attendance.
