Olivia Lagle 2019 Lawrence County Community Foundation's Lilly Endowment Community Scholar

(MITCHELL) - The 2019 Lawrence County Community Foundation’s Lilly Endowment Community Scholar is 18-year-old Olivia Lagle.

Lagle is the daughter of David and Shannon Lagle.

Lagle received a full-tuition scholarship to any four-year accredited public or private college or university in Indiana with an annual $900 stipend for books.

She was one of 10 finalists considered for the scholarship. In addition to Lagle, the finalists from Mitchell High School included - Kamryn Bridges, Kinley Day, Allyson Passmore and Lauren Woods. The finalist from Bedford North Lawrence High School included - Sarah Gaither, Danielle Kittaka, Molly Mitchell, Kenton Pardue, and Jace Rhorer.

Lagle plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Butler University and then apply for medical school to study obstetrics. Her dream is to work in a neonatal intensive care unit.

She is currently top of her graduating class. She is a varsity dance team member, runs cross country and track. She serves on the Student Council, Tri-Hi-Y, SADD and National Honor Society. Lagle is also active in the youth group at Mitchell Church of Christ.
