(FAYETTEVILLE) - A Bedford man was arrested after Lawrence County deputies were called to a home in the 5690 block of State Road 158 on Christmas night after a woman reported that she had been injured by a male.
The woman told police she went to the home of 51-year-old Kevin Way to help retrieve a vehicle. Way confronted her outside and punched her in the nose.
After being hit by Way, the woman left the residence and went to the Sheriff's Department to report the incident.
Deputies went to Way's home and arrested him without incident on charges of domestic battery and battery causing serious bodily injury.
The woman was treated at a local hospital.
